It’s difficult to know for sure the consequences of our immediate actions. At least by going through the process though you begin to speculate about potential consequences and that’s worthwhile in itself.

There's always uncertainty baked into our predictions of what the consequences of our actions will be. The further out in order we go, the higher those uncertainties. I will likely not be able to accurately predict the 3rd-order consequences of my quitting my job. Yet, getting a grasp on what the landscape of possibilities even looks like might be enough to influence my choice.
